I made a list of things that I want to research. This includes long term grain and bean storage, medical supply necessities and water storage. Mainly focusing on the 3-3-3-3 rule, these are the main categories I will be looking at.
Oxygen

Here are face masks incredibly important. Especially pandemic-wise. They predict that pandemics will become more and more prevalent, because globalization is such a thing of the present, infections have the opportunity to spread way faster then in the past. But also, fire and chemical masks are important, something I will delve deeper into in another post.
I put medical necessities under this category too. You will not fair long with proper treatment of wounds and illnesses.

Shelter
A bug in (shelter in place) location, a bug out location (shelter in another location) and tools for making a shelter in between. That's the point. But a bug out place, somewhere you go when bugging in or staying at home isn't an option anymore, is not feasible for everyone. Not everyone can buy a piece of land, have a second property, or count on somebody else to provide a safe location for them.
That's why I'll be looking more at the bugging in location(s). It's far cheaper, easier and safer to bug in most of the time. That's where we'll look at safeguarding the place, and stocking up on the other three 3's.
Food

You need food to live and to have the energy to get you out of sticky situations. I like to can food, dry food and want to start storing long shelf-life products in mylar bags. I also need to learn how to cook shelf-stable ingredients and different forms of preservation like fermentation and smoking. This is something we can do together.
I would like to follow a protein-rich diet for the benefits it brings. This means I will be mostly stocking up on beans, meat and other protein sources. A blog post about this will follow soon.

Water
Water is one of the most important, and by my standard, easiest things on this list. You can store water in bottles, jerry cans, tums, jars, bladders,... The possibilities are almost endless. You have water filtration methods ranging from the water straw and bleach to full on home water filtration systems. Both DIY and commercially made.
